Celine Lee, PropNex real estate salesperson

Celine Lee, property agent with PropNex, team The MarketPlace.

Trusted enough to advise. Practical enough to guide. Human enough to care.

I did not plan on real estate.

It was not a career I mapped out. What kept me here was not the transactions, it was the people attached to them. Every property carries a story. One family is upgrading because another child is on the way. Someone else is downsizing because the children have grown and moved out. A couple is buying their first home and quietly terrified of the loan.

Somewhere in those conversations it became obvious to me: I am not really in the property business. I am in the people business. Property is the thing we are talking about. It is rarely the thing that is actually at stake.

Before real estate I worked in the renovation industry, and that experience never left the way I look at a unit. I read how a layout will really live, what a space could become and where the cost will land, not just square footage and asking price.

How I work

A little better than yesterday.

I am not chasing awards or a commission figure to put on a poster. The standard I hold myself to is smaller and harder: be a bit better than I was yesterday, in the advice I give and the care I take.

A property decision is one of the biggest financial commitments most people make. So I am careful with the trust that gets handed to me. I explain the risks, I flag the things that argue against a purchase, and I do not dress up an uncertainty as a certainty.

“People remember how you make them feel above all.”

Integrity. Trust. Results. In that order, because the third one does not last without the first two.

Why the team is called The MarketPlace

A marketplace is not a single product. It offers different solutions for different people, which is exactly how client work behaves in practice: no two households need the same answer.

The longer goal is a team people genuinely trust. The sentence I want clients to say about us is simple: they will tell you the truth, even if it means not making a sale.

What I look for in the people I work with

  • Character before closing skill.
  • Curiosity about people and about property.
  • Listening more than speaking.
  • Willingness to say, I do not know, I will find out.
  • Choosing the right thing over the easy thing.
